Opening of the New Mexican Consulate in Little Rock

Our Story...

The 10 the of September stands as a proud and historic date for our community — the formal opening of the NEW Mexican Consulate in Little Rock. Although the city previously had a consular office, this new location was born from a stronger, more community-centered vision.

It was not designed as an isolated government building, but as part of a living community environment. Plaza Frida championed a different approach: a consulate surrounded by culture, small businesses, and gathering spaces — a place that feels welcoming and close to home.

The vision was simple and powerful: while families receive consular services, they can also enjoy food, support local entrepreneurs, and experience cultural and recreational spaces nearby. Plaza Frida made a call to the Mexican community to help bring this space to life — and the community answered.

Today, this site represents something greater than services alone. It proves that when a community unites with purpose, it can create spaces of dignity, identity, and opportunity for its people.
